Our Junior team has won three Nations Cups already this year and our Children on Horses have won a very strong Nations Cup in Hagen, Germany, last week, and they were also second in Gorla Minore earlier this year. Our Young Riders are very consistent, they’ve all been jumping around the world and getting some great results.”

Dressage

Youth dressage High Performance Director Anne Marie Dunphy has named the athletes and horses selected to represent Ireland at the upcoming FEI Junior and Children on Horses European Dressage Championships in Kronberg, Germany, from July 18th to 23rd.

This is the first time there has been a Junior (under 18) team selected to represent Ireland at the Championship. They are: Cillian Curran (Dancing Espri), Sophia Doheny (Batiqar) and Jessica Grogan (Christianson).

Maeve Deverell (Annaharvey Dunowen (ISH)) will ride as an individual in the Children on Horses.

Speaking about the announcement Dunphy said: “Our first Junior team for the European Championships is a milestone. All athletes have shown strong performances throughout the selection period.”
