McGuinness wins RDS qualifier

OUR apologies to those who were inadvertently overlooked in the 1.25m/1.30m RDS Young Rider report from Barnadown in last week’s edition, especially the winner Aisling McGuinness.

Aisling, who has made a great career from show jumping full-time, won the qualifier from 94 starters with Hazel McGuinness’ Kilderry’s Joint Venture (Russel x Cruising). The combination were the fastest of five double clear rounds in 41.53 seconds.

In the runner-up position was Katie Doyle riding Eoin Doyle’s Heldin, ahead of Patrick McGrath with Orla McAlinden’s Larcata Wi Ro Z. Conor Gilmartin (Brooklyn Nine Nine) was fourth and Conrad Sweeney produced the final double clear with Sully to finish fifth. Max Foley produced the fastest time but had to settle for sixth place with Hermes De Cavalier after picking up four faults.

We are happy to clarify the above results are correct, as per the SJI Live website, and wish all the competitors the best of luck at the Dublin Horse Show.
