Having been runner-up the previous week at Cavan, Smyth went one better this time out, clinching the win in the €2,500 feature class sponsored by Glencarron Nursing Home, Crossmaglen.

“It was a good track. James [Kernan] had the place in great shape for the show, the ground was good and you could really trust them off the corner,” commented Smyth after the class.
