The final at Tattersalls was the first leg of the league to be decided on a clocked round in the five-year-old divisions and O’Neill proved on form to take both the win on the day and in the league.

The final rider in a 12 horse jump-off, O’Neill had the measure of the time and stopped the clock at a faultless 40.92 seconds. Sunday’s victory brought Ard Ginger Pop to a total of 27 points in the league and the subsequent overall win.
