DERMOTT LENNON and MJM Pursuit won the first international class of Millstreet Horse Show, the 1.40m speed on Thursday afternoon.

A total of 63 combinations lined out for the Gold Tour class and Lennon’s time of 63.03 proved best of the bunch.

Briton Rachel Proudley riding the Dutch-bred stallion H, by Quality Time, was second in 63.92.

Jonathan Smyth and Mulvin Lights Out were third in 64.33, while fourth went to Angela Waras riding Diamant de la Mer (Diamant de Semilly x Eurocommerce Berlin).

Britain’s Lila Bremner and Memphis VD Vaart took fifth, and Sweden’s Robin Carey riding Carrera Denfer (Connor x For Pleasure) finished in sixth.

Victory for Pender

HHS Catwalk, a mare by Cit Cat, with Mikey Pender in the saddle, won the 1.40m on Friday afternoon. Breaking the finish beams in a time of 38.18, the duo were best of the 12-way jump-off.

Daren Hopkins was runner-up with Numero Cruise (Numero Uno) in 38.84. Third went to Francis Derwin Jnr and Deep Pockets (OBOS Quality x Cruising) in 39.69, while fourth was Sean Monaghan riding Kingsborough Verdiva in 39.95.

Fifth was Susan Fitzpatrick and Keatingstown Skorphults Joker. Briton Nicole Kershaw took sixth place aboard Lotus Van’t Nachtegalehof.

Win for Barry

Aimee Barry and Garryndruig Limoncello won Thursday’s 1.30m two-phase when she was fastest of the 10 double clear rounds in the 48-rider strong class.

Barry and her father Joe’s nine-year-old Amaretto Darco mare stopped the clock at 31.49 for the win.

Britain’s Nicole Kershaw and Clovalent (Valent x Cruising) came closest to catching the leader when they broke the beams in 31.69 for second place.

Third was HHS Fortune (Catoki x Douglas) and Molly Hughes Bravo in 31.83, while fourth went to Boleybawn Cayman (Cassidee x Ard VDL Douglas) in 33.25.

Corraghoe Bounce (Lux Z x Cruising), ridden by Joyce Veld, took fifth and Greenvale Draco with Tommy Halford were sixth.
