THERE was little time to settle into Millstreet CSI*** as international competitors were straight into top-class competition as they took to the main arena for the 1.50m Grand Prix qualifier last Thursday.

A total of 31 combinations contested the qualifier and out of those, just three clears were delivered. Despite a strong challenge from Irish riders, British riders dominated the placings in the opening international class. Taking the honours when clear in 71.36 second was British visitor Louise Saywell aboard the 15-year-old stallion Mr Darcy.
