IRELAND's Conor Swail took the honours in last night's (Saturday) $212,000 Grand Prix at the four-star show in Palm Beach, Florida.

Partnering 10-year-old mare Viva Colombia, the Down rider was one of eight to make the jump-off out of a starting round of thirty-two.

Second last to go in the decider, the pairing left everything intact and clipped over a quarter of a second of the lead time of Mexican Eugenio Garza on Bariano to claim top spot.

"She's just getting better and better", said Swail of Viva Columbia, who is owned by Ilan Ferder. "I thought tonight she was just wonderful."

American Hardin Towell gave the host nation a place on the podium by finishing third riding New York.
