THE six/seven-year-old class at the Cavan September Indoor Championships was first introduced back in 1993 and has been a staple in the Irish show jumping calendar ever since. The 2026 edition, sponsored by the Elliot Group with a prize fund of €7,000, showcased the very high standard of the production of young horses in Ireland.
Eleven combinations from the 39 starters made it into an exciting third round against the clock and it was Jack Brennan from Kilkenny who took the spoils. Partnering the six-year-old MHS Superstition, a grey gelding owned by Michael and Sinead Brennan, Brennan took the win with the fastest of six triple clears in 34.97.
