ELIZABETH Cooke, who was badly injured in a fall out hunting in early December and only received the all-clear to resume riding at the end of April, qualified for the 158cm working hunter pony class at Dublin at Sceilig last Wednesday week and for the older Connemara performance hunter class at Rincoola last Saturday.

In both instances, Cooke was on board Tawnagh Lad (Classiebawn Black Jack - Bruckless Hester, by Linsfort Boy), the 11-year-old Hugh Walsh-bred gelding with whom, as a member of the North Kilkenny Branch, she represented the Irish Pony Club and Ireland at the Junior home international tetrathlon in England last year.
