IN the run-up to Christmas, current and former members of the Shillelagh Hunt Branch of the Irish Pony Club converged on Murphy’s Hotel in Tinahely for the launch of a new book, Shillelagh Pony Club Memories of the Past.

The foreword was written by committee member Sinéad O’Toole and former District Commissioner Brid Kavanagh who commented: “...As we celebrate this special milestone, this book is a tribute to past and present members, their parents, committees and volunteers. Their dedication, hard work, commitment, and love for the sport have allowed Shillelagh Pony Club to thrive and continue to inspire new generations of young riders.
