ONE rider who got the shock of her life at Balmoral Show last week was Sarah Brashaw who, after riding in the Clifden High Performance qualifier where she finished third on Lankill Lord Buí, her boyfriend Graeme Kirkpatrick got down on one knee and asked Sarah to marry him in the warm-up arena. “I was completely shocked, as Graeme had been working away for 12 weeks so I didn’t know he was even in the country! We celebrated with friends and family at the show,” Sarah told Pony Tales.

From Carrowdore in Co Down, the happy couple have been together for 12 years. Sarah works at Jubilee Veterinary Centre providing a rehab service for pets.
