AREA 3 of the Irish Pony Club held its Festival qualifier last Saturday at Ballindenisk where, as at other qualifiers, two coveted tickets for the Pony Club combined training championships at the Dublin Horse Show were on offer.
Disappointingly, only three riders (from just four entered) contested the Open qualifier where the honours went to Tipperary’s Kate Walsh who had a fence down show jumping with the seven-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding Fernhill Copy Cat. Walsh won the RDS final last August on Beechtree Watchful.
