AREA 5 of the Irish Pony Club held a sun-drenched Festival qualifier at the ever-busy Co Cork venue of Ballindenisk last Saturday, a day before the Fell family welcomed in the United Hunt for their third point-to-point of the 2024/25 season.
There were just four starters in the Open combined training where the win, and Dublin Horse Show ticket, went to West Carbery’s Lucy O’Connor riding the traditionally-bred Irish Sport Horse gelding Rowanhill Luka Chan, the 12-year-old Luke Skywalker grey she competes at EI100 (J) level with Eventing Ireland. The other three combinations also qualified for the Festival.
