THE highlight of last week’s show at Old Salem Farm in New York was the $135,000 Old Salem Farm Grand Prix on Sunday and to say the Irish dominated the class would be an understatement! In fact, Irish riders claimed the top four places in the class, between them taking home a staggering $105,300 of the prize fund.
Derry’s Jordan Coyle came up trumps on board Keep Me With You NC to win the class and the $44,550 on offer, while Offaly’s Darragh Kenny showed the talent of his string of horses when claiming both second place on Amsterdam 27 ($27,000) and third on Zero K ($20,250). Philip McGuane took fourth place with Orphea HQ and pocketed $13,500.
