ELEVEN combinations contested the Treo Eile thoroughbred to competition horse class on Tuesday at Wexford Equestrian, where the jumping phases were not judged but penalties could be picked up, as they were by more than half the field.

Local rider Kate Jordan led throughout on her mother Emer’s Serene Ace (22.2 penalties), an unraced gelding by Sandmason out of Claire Keegan’s Definite Article mare Rosies Rocket. The seven-year-old was a €33,000 purchase by Monbeg Stables at the 2022 Goffs Land Rover Sale.
