BERNARD Óg Keaney made a winning start to his showing career at Cashel show last Sunday when taking the red rosette in the miniature pony class with Speedy Ginger, following in the footsteps of his father Bernard and his brothers Jack and Patrick.
Six-year-old Bernard Óg, from Roundstone in Co Galway, was born without functioning kidneys and travels to Temple Street hospital three days a week for dialysis, while he waits on a list to receive a kidney transplant.
