GALWAY show jumper Damien Griffin and Ferbane veterinary surgeon Fiona Claffey were married last Friday after meeting almost five years ago when Fiona arrived at Damien’s Ballinasloe yard to try a horse.

The happy couple run Lisseyegan Stables together in Ballinasloe and Fiona also works as a vet at Cloghan Vet Clinic. They were married in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ferbane, and afterwards travelled to Andrea Etter’s Belmont Stud where photographer Ian Hennessy took stunning shots with four legged animals – including Etter’s resident donkey, Allanagh B.
