THE new Wicklow Foxhounds huntsman Brendan Kavanagh had his first outing last weekend at their opening meet in Inch, Gorey, Co Wesford. After 15 years as whipper-in of the hounds, it was a proud day for Brendan and the Kavanagh family as his father, Frank, was the former and long serving committee member of the Wicklow Foxhounds.

His mother, Una, wife Yvonne and daughters were on foot to see him lead off the hunt, and also taking part was his son Frank, who helps kennels man Larry Kavanagh with the hounds.
