THIRTEEN-year-old Spancilhill show jumper Jack Conlon Gateau was on a high after the final Dublin Horse Show qualifier in Barnadown last weekend when, as well as reaching his quotes of four animals, he qualified for the hotly contested Children on Horses class.

Teamed up with the nine-year-old Dutch mare Berlina KWPN, Jack gave it his absolute best and went for all the tight turns in the jump-off. When the clock stopped, along with his parents’ hearts, he was the fastest rider to cross the finish line, securing victory and fourth golden ticket.
