THREE-year-old Róisín O’Connor Laird went hunting three times over the extended Christmas period and is photographed here at last Friday week’s Ballinagore Harriers’ children’s meet at Ballycrystal with her mother, Edwina, and huntsman Billy O’Connor.

The young huntswoman is sister of Ciara O’Connor (16), who was on Ireland’s bronze medal-winning team at this year’s European pony eventing championships in Le Mans, France, where she finished 12th individually on the 2007 Connemara stallion Agharanny Minstrel (by Castleside JJ).

Róisín, who doubled up at the championships as squad mascot and top cheerleader, is seen riding the Welsh pony Linksbury Goldilocks (aka Barbie).

Back in 2014, a then six-year-old Ciara partnered this 2005 Skellorn Crystal Gem mare to win the lead rein class at the Dublin Horse Show.
