THE Kildare Branch had to postpone its leg of the Connolly’s Red Mills/Irish Pony Club eventing series last Sunday “due to the rain and the resulting dangerous ground conditions” at Punchestown.

It has been re-scheduled for Bank Holiday Monday, August 7th, two days after the Shillelagh Branch’s qualifier at Coolboy and a day after the Area 5 qualifier at Kilguilkey House where there is an international event running this weekend.

To cater for those members who are still seeking qualification for the national championships at Tattersalls (August 26th and 27th), the IPC’s eventing committee has suspended its ‘two days in a row competition rule’ for next weekend only.
