MERVUE Equine and the Leinster Region of Showjumping Ireland has announced the continuation of their longstanding partnership in sponsoring the Mervue Equine Leinster Summer Tour, now entering its 10th consecutive year. This enduring collaboration has played a vital role in supporting professional, amateur and emerging riders across the Leinster region.
This year’s launch event took place at Warrington Equestrian Centre in Kilkenny, home of the Moloney family who are synonymous with excellence in the show jumping world, representing Ireland in national, European and international events and who all compete in this tour every summer.
Since its inception, the Mervue Equine Leinster Summer Tour has become a key fixture on the Irish equestrian calendar. The tour offers a comprehensive competition structure with dedicated classes at 1.10m, 1.20m and 1.35m levels, each playing a role in rider and horse development throughout the season. The tour will be run over 13 legs and the opening round took place on Friday at Barnadown. It will continue to run at venues across the region until the final at Warrington on August 17th.
The tour offers generous prize money and vouchers at every leg, with a cash prize of €2,000 for overall leading tour rider in the 1.35m, €1,000 for 1.20m and €1,000 for 1.10m. The leading young rider of the 1.35m will be awarded a bursary in partnership with international show jumper Bertram Allen. All tour prize winners will also be invited to Karlswood to attend an exclusive coaching and Q&A session with Cian O’Connor as he works with one of his students.
A new feature this year is the chance for the overall leading Leinster rider to win a custom SJI Leinster show jumping fence.
Ciara Watt, Mervue Equine Head of Sales, said: “We are delighted to be launching the Mervue Equine Leinster Summer Tour 2025 in the beautiful facilities at Warrington Equestrian Centre, home of our brand ambassadors, Eddie and Emily Moloney.
