SUCCESSFUL showing rider and breeder Grace Maxwell Murphy is turning her attention to a project of a different nature this Easter. The mother of three – who is also a partner in a Dublin law firm – and her husband William McMahon will open their farm to the public to give children a taste of rural living over the holidays.
“We decided to run an Easter event for children at Meadow Farm because we felt there is never enough places to bring children and not enough appreciation of the simplicity of the outdoors,” she told The Irish Field. “Especially in spring when there is an abundance of new life in all aspects, animals, flowers, crops. It will be good, simple fun, running around with the animals and an Easter egg at the end of it. Hopefully we’ll get a good attendance this year and the word will spread so that we can build on it for next year.”
