CLIFDEN is preparing for a landmark celebration next week, from August 19th–22nd, as the Connemara Pony Show marks its 100th Anniversary.
The Show returns to its home at the Clifden Showgrounds in the heart of Connemara under the guidance of the newly formed Connemara Pony Show-Clifden committee of Mary Coyne (Chair), John Sweeney, Karen Mannion, Terrence O’Toole, Cllr. Eileen Mannion, and Cllr. Gerry King. This year’s event will see over 700 ponies compete for the largest prize fund in the show’s history.
