THE last young rider championship of the show was the 1.10m-1.15m with 20 combinations battling it out and nine booking their place against the clock. Taking this title was Edie Codd and Hdi Restless. This seven-year-old mare is owned by Hannah Wood and was bred by Kenneth Flynn. She is by Orestus and out of the Cruise On sired dam Arkle Heather.

“I was second last to go in the jump-off, and I knew I just had to go for it and do my best,” Codd said after the win. “I planned to take a stride out to the last and thankfully that paid off. My plan was to take as many tight lines as possible without being reckless. I have had the horse from a three-year-old so I knew he could do it. I would like to thank my mum Hannah for all her support and my trainer, Tom Byrne.”
