HAVING been the bridesmaid on her last two outings, Emily Barrett and BGS Mikado finally picked up a win in the EI110 J. Recording one of just two show jumping clear rounds, Barrett just held the advantage over top British junior Daisy Proctor (Carsonstown Athena) while dressage leaders Zara Burke Ott (Gooseberry Hill Cruise), who was demoted after the show jumping, completed in third.

Templemore’s Bryan Bourke has successfully teamed up with some of John Craig’s Kilrodan prefixed horses this season, and having filled fourth spot in the former class aboard Kilrodan Exchange, he went even better to win the EI100J with Kilrodan Queen B. An experienced campaigner, and formerly ridden by Bourke’s trainer Fergal Nesbitt as well as Cathal Daniels, the 11-year-old Queen B completed on her dressage score, as did second-placed Cliona Mitchell with Vigo Sunlight.
