CLYDA proved a lucky hunting ground for the Adams’ sisters, firstly when Hannah claimed back to back CNCJ* wins with the seven-year-old Milchem Ardeo. In this, her first season on horses, the former pony European squad member filled second place on the flat on the Melanie Wrynn-produced gelding, but was promoted after leaders Romy McCarthy and Miracle lowered two poles in the show jumping. The winner then progressed to record a double clear round (30.7), to beat Molly O’Neill and Clearistown Flavia (30.8) by the narrowest of margins. Romy McCarthy fared better with her second ride, Millridge Cara, to share this competition score (30.8) and fill third in the process. All eight runners completed without incident.
