ALTHOUGH the country is slowly returning to a form of normality, and international events are running once again, the travel fallout from Brexit is still a major hurdle to overcome. Ireland’s international event fixtures have been particularly hard hit this season, so while the visiting numbers at next week’s autumn international Ballindenisk have been depleted, it is good to see an increasing trickle of overseas riders making the journey.

Always a flagship fixture for the Fell family, the event will stage eight classes, both long and short format, and while the date coincides with the European championships in Avenches, there is a solid entry from the home nation.
