HAVING reclaimed the ride on her Connemara mare Rathcline Moonlight Girl this season, Tanya Lock has a 100% record in EI90 (Amateur) classes with two wins from two rides on the Moonlight Silver Shadow dun.

Jasper Kelly had the honour of competing Rathcline Moonlight Girl for much of the last 14 months, recording three EI100 (J) wins and many placings on the Maureen Kearns-bred 10-year-old who he qualified for the older Connemara performance hunter class at Dublin last August. Rathcline Moonlight Girl is out of the Coosheen Thyme mare Coriander.

Riding her former racehorse Trucking Along, Amy Walsh missed out on a double when finishing second to Katie Zubeyko on the 12-year-old black mare Roulette at Hillcrest (2) on May 14th before winning at Scarteen on Sunday, June 11th.

Bred by Michael Doyle, Trucking Along is a 2006 gelding by Zagreb out of Pegus Gold, by Strong Gale. He won a point-to-point maiden and four hurdle races, and was placed over fences, when trained between 2010 and 2016 by Stuart Crawford.

Last Sunday, Joanna Jones saw off the challenge of her sole rival in the EI90 (Amateur) at Kilguiley (2) where she completed on her dressage score with her French-bred gelding Dogora. Now 14, the Robin Des Pres grey won two hurdle races and was placed over hurdles and fences between December 2015 and December 2018 when trained by Willie Mullins.

The spring season in the Northern Region concluded on Saturday, May 20th at Hazeldene where, on their third start of the campaign, Ciarrai Rice and the seven-year-old ISH mare Lady J got the better of their 12 rivals. Michaela Donnelly, who finished closest to Rice on that occasion, recorded a win of her own at Clonmahon House on her six-year-old grey gelding Burke Private Bluebird.

Others to post a single success were Shannon O’Mahony on her five-year-old Craigsteel gelding Steel Me Darling at Kilguilkey House (1) on May 21st; Susanna Boxwell with her Irish Draught gelding JMHillfield Double Diamond, a seven-year-old grey by Rebel Mountain, at Rosanna (1) on May 27th; and Lizzy Lillington-Lester with her seven-year-old KEC Maximum Joe mare, My Max A Million, at Rosanna (2) on June 17th.
