In the closing stages, when initially it looked like he was labouring up front, Seeyouatmidnight picked up strongly again once he’d drifted across to the running rail and had that to keep him straight and focused. He then cleared right away to score by nine lengths. My impression was that the was running a bit green up to then, having been out in front for most of the race. This makes sense as he’s still lightly raced.

This was Seeyouatmidnight’s third win in a row when you count his point-to point-win. He may well run at Aintree according to his trainer. Next season he should make a very good novice chaser.
