GROUP 1 runner-up Colosseo and Group 3 winner Saiydabad look likely to be among the top-priced lots at next Saturday’s Arqana Arc Sale at Saint-Cloud.

There are just over 40 entries for the boutique sale, which is traditionally staged on the eve of the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

Colosseo is a maiden after seven lifetime starts but finished second to St Mark’s Basilica in the Poule d’Essai des Poulains in May. The son of Street Boss is trained by Gianluca Bietolini.

Saiydabad is a three-year-old by Blame, owned and bred by the Aga Khan. Unraced at two, the colt won three times this season before finishing fourth behind St Mark’s Basilica in the Prix du Jockey Club. A non-stayer in the Grand Prix de Paris, Saiydabad was back to form in a Group 3 race over 10 furlongs earlier this month and has an engagement on Arc weekend at ParisLongchamp.

Listed winner Lady Day and recent two-time scorer Bran were added to the catalogue this week.

Rated 102, the Freddy Head-trained Lady Day won the Prix La Sorellina this season and most recently finished fourth in the Group 3 Prix Bertrand de Tarragon. The three-year-old daughter of Motivator is a half-sister to recent juvenile winner Maximus and a three-part sister to the champion Treve.

A winner of his last two outings over seven furlongs for trainer Mauricio Delcher Sanchez, Bran is a three-year-old gelding with a current rating of 97. He hails from the family of Group 1 winners Machiavellian, Exit To Nowhere, Coup De Genie and Denebola.

Freddy Head has also entered his Group 3 winner Adhamo, a three-year-old colt by Intello, while professional football player Antoine Griezmann is selling his Group 3 winner Go Atheltico, who has failed to win in six starts this season.
