ONE of the most significant stories to break midweek was a report by the Gambling Commission that senior management at Paddy Power were complicit in encouraging the actions of a known problem gambler who ended up losing his jobs, money and family as a result of his addiction to betting on Fixed Odds Betting Terminals (FOBTs).

The story is a shocking one, with the company breaching their own guidelines in terms of social responsibility, and being fined a total of £280,000 over the case.
