A is for Anna Merveldt who, despite a stop start year, featured in these pages many times during 2020. With the Lusitano stallion Esporim, her results included a runner-up finished in the World Cup qualifier at Budapest, and two runner-up placings at CDI3* Ornago in Italy, where they scored a new Grand Prix personal best of 70.76%. She also produced her Grand Prix Special personal best in Austria in August when scoring 71.42%.

B is for Balou du Reventon, the former multiple Grand Prix-winning ride of Darragh Kenny who moved to the yard of American show jumper Brian Moggre this year. Kenny lost the ride on all of Anna Thompson’s horses in September.
