Former French listed winner Enola, can make a winning Irish debut for trainer Willie Mullins. A decent filly on the flat, she appears to have all the right attributes to make into a hurdler this winter. Mullins often introduces a nice type at this track and the four-year-old has the potential to be quite smart. The Paul Nolan-trained Maxi Mac Gold ran well when runner-up here on his hurdling debut earlier this month. With the benefit of that experience, the Doctor Dino gelding should be one of the leading contenders.

Readin Tommy Wrong should be good enough to make a winning start to his hurdling career.

Runner-up on his only point-to-point outing, the Willie Mullins-trained gelding won two bumpers earlier in the season and now makes his jumping debut in what looks a winnable race.

Walk Away Harry should be straighter here having been weak in the market when finishing sixth on his hurdling debut at Limerick last month.

Charles Byrnes’ runner will have deemed considerable benefit from that initial outing so it would come as no surprise to see him take a significant step forward now.

SELECTION: READIN TOMMY WRONG

Next Best: Walk Away Harry

Recent Clonmel winner Housemartin could retain enough in hand to record back-to back successes. The Edward O’Grady-trained six-year-old was making just his sixth start over flights when easily registering a first career win. With the form of that race having received a couple of subsequent boosts, the gelding might be able to follow up. Bukhill proved disappointing at Cheltenham last month but had won twice earlier in the season.

Although he will need to recapture his best form to get involved off top-weight, the Peter Fahey-trained five-year-old remains open to further improvement.

Cinsa can continue on the winning run having recorded a first Irish success at Wexford back in May.

The Willie Mullins-trained four-year-old had been highly tried earlier in the year, finishing down the field on three starts in Grade 1 company. The very fact her trainer deemed her worthy of those entries suggests she must be showing plenty at home.

Tomjackwilliam should be capable of a big run having only just lost out over course and distance earlier this month. Although raised 6lb for a head defeat, the Eoin McCarthy- trained gelding was 16 lengths clear of the third. It would certainly come as no surprise to see the son of Dylan Thomas go one better now.

SELECTION: CINSA

Halka Du Tabert looks to have been found an ideal opportunity to make the perfect start over fences. A former winning point-to-pointer, the Gordon Elliott-trained mare won her bumper and maiden hurdle early last season before running a personal best when third in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. With a hurdles mark of 130, she was easily the best of these over flights.

Henninh made a promising start to life over fences when third at Thurles last month. However, Shauna Larkin’s six-year-old got no further than the first at Gowran Park earlier this month. The Rock Of Gibraltar mare remains one of the more likely winners provided her jumping holds up after that latest mishap.

Lucky Max, a four-time winner over hurdles, can gain a first career victory over fences. The Sean Doyle-trained gelding has an affinity for this track, with three of his previous successes coming here.

Having had just the mandatory three starts since switching codes, the seven-year-old looks well handicapped on a mark some 7lb lower than his hurdles rating.

Dundaniel, a hunter chase winner at this track last April, has been lightly raced in the interim but shaped well when runner-up at Thurles earlier this month.

Trained locally by Michael Kennedy, the eight-year-old is sure to have had this race as a target from early in the season.

SELECTION: LUCKY MAX

Next Best: Dundaniel

Robinstown, a dual winner over hurdles, has scope for improvement over fences.

The Cian Collins-trained gelding was rated 120 over flights but now finds himself on 113 after just four starts at this discipline.

While he would arguably be better trying to exploit that potentially lenient mark in handicap company, he looks one of the better types in this contest.

Macdermott could be capable of huge improvement now that he tackles fences for the first time. A lightly raced five-year-old, he attained a handicap mark of 116 over hurdles from just the three runs, so it has to be significant that connections make the switch to chasing so early in his career.

SELECTION: ROBINSTOWN

Next Best: Macdermott
