ALMOST 1,000 tickets have been sold for the annual Longford GAA raceday at Punchestown on Wednesday.

This is the 20th anniversary of the fundraiser which has raised over €1.7 million for Longford GAA to-date.The event is sold out.

Longford GAA have their own pavilion in the hospitality area. The day starts at noon and ends at 8.30pm. While lunch is being served, guests are entertained by MC Marty Morrissety and guest tipster Johnny Ward. They even have their own best dressed awards at the event and there is a free draw for a €5,000 cash prize.

As soon as the final race has been run, there is music and dancing with ‘Busy Fingers’.

They may never have won an All-Ireland senior title but it sounds like Longford have certainly won the racing hospitality stakes.
