ITBA South Leinster meeting

BREEDERS are invited to attend an open evening in the Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny, next Tuesday (May 9th) at 7pm. Organised by the South Leinster Region of the ITBA, the event will provide an update on work being done by the ITBA.

Representatives from the Irish Equine Centre, Irish Thoroughbred Marketing and Weatherbys will be present, along with a Teagasc advisor who will discuss the most recent developments regarding TAMS for the equine sector.

Local breeders who produced top-class winners under both codes recently will also be acknowledged during the evening.

Calling NH ‘Next Generation’

ITBA Next Generation will host an in-depth discussion on National Hunt racing and breeding in Tattersalls Ireland on Monday week, May 15th. Aimed at racing and breeding enthusiasts aged between 18 and 30, the talk will feature sales consignor Walter Connors, point-to-point handler Aidan Fitzgerald, Tessa Greatrex of Highflyer Bloodstock and agent Tom Malone. Richard Pugh of Tattersalls Ireland will act as MC. Admission is free and tickets can be reserved on Eventbrite.

Jack Davison open morning

THE first in the upcoming series of trainer open days organised by HRI Owners takes place next Saturday, May 13th, when Jack Davison welcomes the public from 10am to 12pm. The yard is at Killarkin Stud in Dunboyne, Co Meath (A86 PP76) and pre-registration is essential.
