The way that Danzeno (33-pace adjusted 39) picked up from halfway to win a good Newmarket sprint handicap for three-year-olds marks him out as borderline Group 1 class for a horse his age on my ratings.
Add to this the fact that he hung and ran green in the last furlong and I’d be rather confident we’re looking at a horse who is going to be a player in the big Group 1 sprints later this season. He’s unbeaten in two sprint starts and it’s going to take a smart older horse to beat him.
