Willie Mullins sends dual Grade 1 winner Final Demand to the only top-level race in Munster, the Grade 1 Guinness 00 Faugheen Novice Chase (1.40) at Limerick on Sunday.

His background has always suggested he could end up in a contest like this. He’s by an elite sire in Walk In The Park, is out of a dual Grade 3-winning mare (including at Limerick), cost a tasty €230,000 as a store, is trained by the winningmost trainer in Irish racing history, bolted up on his point-to-point and hurdles debut, and he’s always been viewed as an outstanding prospect.

Final Demand is arguably the champion trainer’s most exciting novice chaser, who is already no bigger than 5/4 for the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase.

Only four have been declared for the two-mile, five-furlong novice chase and three of them are trained by Mullins.

Patrick Mullins rides Final Demand. His cousin Danny is on board Jimmy Du Seuil, last year's Coral Cup winner. An impressive winner over fences at Fairyhouse at the end of November, Jimmy Du Seuil had The Big Westerner a place behind him there and she franked the form by winning a good Grade 2 mares' chase at Limerick yesterday.

Latest betting: 1/3 Final Demand, 5/2 Jimmy Du Seuil, 25/1 Gold Dancer, 200 Western Walk.
