1.15 Dermot Casey Tree Care Maiden Hurdle 2m 70yd

Mino Des Mottes was soundly beaten in the Fred Winter Handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival but this is a very different assignment. He had previously shown up well against older opposition when a runner-up to his own stable companion Too Bossy For Us in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown. He wore a tongue-tie when winning in his native France and that’s back on for today. Hygge looks the biggest threat but he’ll probably need to improve on a couple of academy hurdle runs at Fairyhouse and Leopardstown, and a more recent maiden hurdle effort at Navan.
