HOPEFULLY the weather will relent and Ascot will get the go-ahead to race this morning, not only so that we can see
Cyrname back at Ascot again, where he is dynamite, but also because there are some competitive and interesting races outside of the Ascot Chase.

The Keltbray Swinley Chase is one of those, and Domaine De L’Isle sets a fair standard. Sean Curran’s horse has won his last three, including a competitive handicap chase over slightly shorter than today’s trip at Ascot last time. He is up another 7lb though, which leaves him on a mark of 146, 26lb higher than he was when he won a Class 4 contest at Chepstow in early December. He is obviously progressive, but he is short, he is up in grade, and he is going to have to improve again if he is going to win today.
