NAVAN Racecourse was declared raceable on Saturday afternoon and is expected to remain fit for racing on Sunday when the Boyne Hurdle is the feature race.

The track had been waterlogged in places on Friday.

Brian Hamilton, IHRB clerk of the course said: “I'm glad to say we have passed the 3pm inspection. The track is currently heavy. We had 6mm of rain overnight but a dry morning and Met Eireann says there will be no more rain, so we look forward to a good day's racing."

British racing

Chelmsford (all-weather) is the only racemeeting taking place in Britain on Sunday. The jumps cards at Exeter and Newcastle have both been cancelled due to waterlogging.
