LOCAL trainer Stefano Botti saddled the first three home in the Derby Italiano in Rome last Sunday. It was his third consecutive victory in the 11-furlong Group 2 ‘classic’ and the first two home in this year’s renewal are owned by Felice Villa’s Scuderia Effevi.
The winner, Goldstream, came into the race on a winning streak of four and ran out a three-length winner under Cristian Demuro. Goldstream is a son of the Marju horse Martino Alonso, also sire of Rakti.
