EARLIER on the card, Celestine made her five-year-old debut in the Sand Springs and made the stakes’ namesake proud, wiring six rivals including last year’s star three-year-old turf filly Catch A Glimpse, who chased all the way to be second.

Moyglare Stud purchased Celestine, a daughter of Scat Daddy, for $2.55 million at Keeneland November Sale, switching the Grade 1 stakes winner from one turf icon, Bill Mott, to another, Christophe Clement.
