SINCE racing resumed, this column has highlighted the many successes in Britain and Ireland recorded by jockeys, both flat and National Hunt, from Co Down to Co Donegal and all areas in between.
It was therefore disappointing to learn this week that Co Derry-born Nathan Evans, who is attached to the Mick Easterby yard in north Yorkshire, has tested positive to a banned substance and could be facing a lengthy suspension.
