MICHAEL O’Callaghan has planted 15 native species of trees, comprising 9,000 trees in total, at his developing Grangebeg yard, utilising the Miyawaki technique to facilitate a more rapid growth of dense forests.

He has a couple of giant sequoias too, at the entrance - tiny still, compared to the near 85 metres they can grow and about 3,000 years off the potential completion of their lifespan.
