THE Curragh was buzzing on Monday for its traditional bank holiday meeting.
The racecourse has put in a big effort over several years to promote this Newbridge Parishes Community Raceday and the fine weather certainly helped too. The playground was particularly busy and among those to acknowledge the Curragh’s good work was bloodstock agent Michael Donohoe.
He posted on social media: “Kudos to @curraghrace for a great family day out. And more importantly for being the first Irish racecourse to install an on-site Sensory Pod. Jack and Lily gave it the thumbs-up. Looking forward to the official launch on Guineas weekend.”
The mobile sensory pod was provided by Nua Healthcare, sponsors of the Irish Lincolnshire raceday.
