THE sixth edition of Best Racehorses by Sieglinde McGee has just been published.

As always, the independently published annual is only available to purchase via the company that ships it: Amazon.

The 2025 edition contains form and pedigree analysis essays on every Group 1, Group 2 and Group 3 winner in Ireland and Britain during last year, along with horses who were trained in either country but won at those levels elsewhere in the world. The 476-page, A4-sized volume also includes form and pedigree analysis essays on every winner of a French Group 2 race and there is a three-generation pedigree chart provided for every group-race winner reviewed in essay form.

French Group 3s and Germany’s pattern races included in the extensive data section. That data section includes details on sires, grandsires, broodmare sires, the first three dams, race distances and going, auction prices, the races organised by country, and more.

There is also a lengthy ‘Others Of Note’ section, which includes brief form and pedigree notes on a large number of horses who did not meet the inclusion criteria for the main part of the book.

Best Racehorses of 2025 is available on Amazon. Priced at under €35, and it is eligible for Prime delivery.
