THE three-quarters bred Connemara Pony Kynynmont Gunsmoke’s Gideon made headlines recently when competing at Grand Prix level at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida.

By the great Connemara stallion Gunsmoke, the American-bred striking dun gelding, who measures just 15.3hh, is out of the half-bred mare Kynynmont Tara (Greystone McErill x Irish Rose). Owned and bred by Pam Liddell of Kynynmont Farm, the 12-year-old made his Grand Prix debut last year and has been producing consistent results at the highest level under American dressage rider Jessica Jo Tate.
