IRISH racing lost one of its most-cherished personalities on Monday when former champion jockey T.P. Burns passed away. He was 94.
Champion jockey three times (flat and National Hunt winners combined), his race-riding career spanned six decades, from his first winner in 1938 to his final riding success in 1989.
