THE Darley International Student Programme has revealed the names of the 12 trainees selected for the latest Darley Flying Start scholarship. The group for 2015–2017 represent seven different countries.

The 2015 trainees are:

• Conrad Bandoroff (USA)

• Patricia Bowman (USA)

• Jackson Buchanon (USA)

• Alayna Cullen (Ireland)

• Lauren Julia De Arias Heup (Spain)

• Brittney Dixon (USA)

• Mary Ellet (USA)

• William Freedman (Australia)

• Yoshitake Hashida (Japan)

• Hang Yi He (Singapore)

• Yuemeng Hu (China)

• Michael Smith (USA)

The 12 individuals will commence their training at Kildangan Stud in Ireland on August 17th.

The course includes accreditation from the University College Dublin Michael Smurfit Business School as a graduate certificate in management and trainees also attend the University of Sydney and University of Kentucky.

Graduates of the programme are running their own enterprises or working for thoroughbred industry leaders throughout Europe, in the USA, Canada, South America, Asia, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. Career areas include media, racing, breeding, bloodstock, sales, consultancy, veterinary, racetrack management and marketing.
